"I save a ton of time and effort having Waste Source on board"

David Flynn – Head of Facilities

Customer since November 2015

Giggling Squid wriggled to life in 2002 with a mission to make staggeringly good Thai food. Satisfied customers soon told their friends, and having already grown to 13 restaurants by 2015, investment from the Business Growth Fund allowed them to almost double their presence in a short space of time.

It’s testament to their success that there are now 37 restaurants all over the south of England and more on the way. Mostly in market towns, their carefully selected locations are frequently in characterful, older buildings, adding a unique, period charm to top class Thai cuisine.
There were a dozen Giggling Squids when we started managing waste at the Esher site. Since then, the owners have asked Waste Source to take on every new restaurant they’ve opened – that’s ten and counting.

It’s always really satisfying to see our relationship with a client grow as their business grows. We understand that successful restaurants are pretty non-stop places. An efficient and easy-to-run waste system is one less thing for the management to worry about.
With many restaurants in period properties built long before vehicle access was a concern, we have to adapt to challenging waste management conditions, which is where we draw on our vast experience.
